State Microbiome Policy Survey for Kerala-Agriculture/Aquaculture farmers and consultants

The Centre of Excellence in Microbiome (CoEM)–KSCSTE is currently supporting the drafting of the Kerala State Microbiome Policy to promote the safe, effective, and scientifically validated use of microbiome-based products and technologies across various sectors, while addressing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and advancing the One Health approach. As part of this initiative, CoEM is conducting a survey to understand the experiences, practices, challenges, and perspectives of agriculture and aquaculture farmers, and consultants, regarding the use of microbial products. The policy aims to promote the safe, effective, and scientifically validated use of microbial products and technologies across human health, agriculture, aquaculture, livestock, poultry, food systems, environmental management, and other sectors, while addressing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and advancing the One Health approach. As part of this initiative, we seek expert opinions from professionals and stakeholders to understand the current status, challenges, opportunities, regulatory needs, and future priorities related to microbial products and innovations.
